On Saturday, November 4, 2023, LCU colleagues Sophia Adeyeye and Esther Aderinto took Dr. G on an adventure to see Ibadan.  We visited Ibadan’s highest point, the Bower Tower, from there we enjoyed the city’s panoramic vistas. We visited markets where they helped procure beautiful cotton fabrics at reasonable prices. They even took the Kalimba (African thumb piano) for repair.  We rounded up our excursion at Ibadan’s Booksellers where famous author and columnist Okey Ndibe was interviewed and read from his work.  He is the author of Never Look an American in the Eye: A Memoir, Foreign Gods Inc., and Arrows of Rain.
