Bringing Our Best: Leadership, AI & the Future of Governance
In March 2025, Generative Gaze partnered with Dr. Emmanuel J. Dorley and the Osun State Government for a transformative study tour held on the campus pf University of Maryland College Park. The theme: Leveraging Leadership Development and Artificial Intelligence to Improve Governance. The program took place in the Harriet Tubman Meeting Room—a space named for a global icon of courage and freedom—and brought together senior leaders from Osun State, Nigeria, with subject matter experts in AI, leadership, and systems transformation.

Day 1, led by Chief Atim Eneida George, Ph.D., featured the Best Self Seminar, grounded in Positive Organizational Scholarship, and River of Life, an arts-based reflection on leadership journeys. Participants explored their “superpowers,” reflected on purpose, and aligned their visions with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Day 2, Dr. Dorley delivered a comprehensive and compelling overview of AI’s potential to enhance public service and governance, followed by a robust expert panel and solutions-focused dialogue.

That evening, the Osun State delegation hosted a working dinner with local dignitaries, including Prince George’s County Executive-elect Aisha Braveboy and County Council Member Wala Blegay. Together, they explored long-term opportunities for collaboration in arts and culture, agriculture, trade and investment. Our activities were anchored in the compelling guidance of Paul J. Meyer: “What you vividly imagine, ardently desire, sincerely believe, and enthusiastically act upon must inevitably come to pass.”
