As I was reviewing photos on May 30, 2023, I came across an image that I decided to play with and manipulate. Almost immediately, I recognized and embraced its eclectic aesthetic, naming it Pandemic Musings. As I searched my memory banks, I recalled that I had embarked upon the creative journey leading to Pandemic Musings circa 2021. Incorporating paper and cotton fabric, I ‘completed’ the work in 2022. I qualify the term ‘completed’ because as an Artist I continue to grapple of issues related to focal depth. Just how much ‘medicine’ do I represent in a piece? When do I consider a work of art complete? Fortunately for me, I am Spirit-led and thus allow creative energy to guide my artistic activities.
The view below of Multiple Pandemic Musings Landscape provides an alternate perspective. I intentionally manipulated the size and compression of the image as I deem it important to explore various approaches and permutations to my work whether creative or scholarly. I affectionately dedicate this particular work to my friend, Dr. Norman Dale aka Dr. D.
