On Monday, April 28, spiritual coach, writer, and speaker John Harold Moore (JohnHaroldMoore.com) led a transformative session on Family Constellations at the A Time to Deepen: Reimagine, Redefine and Realign retreat. With clarity, compassion, and deep spiritual insight, John guided participants through the history, theory, and purpose of this profound modality.

Family Constellations is a powerful approach to healing intergenerational trauma. Rooted in the understanding that families operate as energetic systems, the modality reveals how unresolved patterns—often unconscious and inherited—can repeat across generations. John emphasized that each of us is not only a member of a family, but also of the larger systems we belong to—communities and cultures.
During the session, participants explored how unhealthy patterns such as exclusion and shame may reverberate within a family’s lineage. Through guided exercises, John demonstrated how Family Constellations work can uncover hidden dynamics, bring them into awareness, and gently restore harmony to the family system—often unlocking deeper clarity, forgiveness, and emotional freedom.

John’s presence and facilitation created a sacred container of trust, allowing participants to witness and honor the complexities of their own ancestral histories. His session beautifully complemented the retreat’s themes of deepening and realignment, reminding us that true healing often requires us to look back in order to move forward.
