On 2/25/24 I ventured over to the International Institute for Tropical Agriculture (IITA).  The grounds are peaceful and the International House’s mural, pictured here, is stunning. A non-profit institution, IITA was established in 1967. It is a research-for-development (R4D) organization focusing on Africa’s agricultural sector.  IITA’s focus on food and nutrition is directly linked to its commitment to improve livelihoods, preserve natural resources and increase employment opportunities in sub-Saharan Africa.  For more information see IITA.org.
