I had the distinct honor and privilege of working with Dr. Joaquin Noguera when we were Postdoctoral Fellows at The Center for Black Studies Research at the University of California at Santa Barbara. His father, Dr. Pedro Noguera, is Distinguished Professor of Education and Dean of the Rossier School of Education at the University of Southern California (USC). Together, these academic titans have turned their considerable intellectual acumen to probe issues of import in their recently-published white paper they co-authored entitled Where Do We Go From Here? Assessing the Limits and Possibilities of Education for Black People in the U.S., 70 Years after Brown. This white paper is part of a series, sponsored by the Spencer Foundation, examining the impact of the Brown decision.
